Barrie's last play is a dramatic version of the Biblical story -- with perhaps the difference: that for the boy David fighting the enemies of Israel on might read the boy Barrie, the raw Scottish lad, encountering the Goliaths and Philistines of modern London. Like all Barries' plays it makes for delightful reading.
