The new Wessex Constabulary has its first murder in its first week of existence, the press are covering it, the public are entranced and the Home Office is watching.
Chief Constable Rosalie Barrie and her team need to solve this murder quickly or questions will be asked about the decision to form a new entity just to serve the Shires.
