The Wind from a Burning Woman

(1983)
A collection of stories by

Greg Bear

AudioFile - John Niessink
This collection of science fiction stories reveal a remarkable, and sometimes nightmarish, imagination. Guidall is at his usual high level, with impeccable phrasing and clear, but slightly understated, character voices. Moore delivers one of her two stories ably; it is written in the first person, and she becomes her character. However, her deliberation over her other story may sound plodding to some. A generally fine production with somewhat specialized appeal. J.N. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine
