Captain Sam Gowdy and the crew of the starship Roamer have been inadvertently sent to the center of a conflict several trillion miles from anywhere that has already decimated two civilizations. Now, caught between triplanetary war and technology conspiracy, Gowdy must once again play loose with Earthside regulations--if there is any hope at all of salvaging a mission.
