Emma Barnes published her first book for children in 2001 - the much praised Jessica Haggerthwaite: Witch Dispatcher. A sequel, Jessica Haggerthwaite: Media Star continued Jessica's adventures. Emma's third book Sam and the Griswalds told the story of the over-protected Sam Harris, whose life is totally transformed when the crazy and irrepressible Griswald family moved next door - it won the Rotherham Children's Book Award.
