Don Bendell

(b.1947)

aka Ron Stillman

Don Bendell is a best-selling author of 30 novels and books with over 3,000,000 copies of his books in print worldwide and a successful motion picture. In 2011, he was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. He is a former US Army Special Forces (Green Beret) captain and decorated and 100% disabled Vietnam veteran and the father of two Special Forces senior NCOs who are Iraq/Afghan War vets and one is still serving our nation, the other is medically-retired. Don also spent 53 years in the martial arts and in 1995 was inducted into the International Karate & Kickboxing Hall of Fame and is a Grandmaster Instructor in 5 martial arts.

Don has a Master of Science degree in Leadership from the Ken Blanchard College of Business at Grand Canyon University and a BS in Business from Colorado Christian University. Don has 6 grown children and 11 grandchildren and describes himself simply as "a real cowboy with a real ranch and a real horse." He and his wife Dr. Janet Bendell, own the Strongheart Ranch south of Florence, Colorado.
