A native of Louisville, KY, She graduated from the Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and then went on to earn a BSN from Indiana University. Horse crazy from the time she knew what a horse was, her family moved to rural Indiana in 1989. Since then, she's managed to accumulate five horses, one dog, and six cats. She's been working full-time as a critical care nurse for more than thirty years, but she's itching for a different kind of excitement!

As a writer, she finds that any fantasy you have can come true if you just write it down! She's been keeping her friends entertained with her books for a number of years, and self-published a book in 2006, but Slave is the first of her books to be published with Sourcebooks Casablanca.
