Second Chances

Miranda Stone believes in second chances. After being wrongly fired from her executive job as an advertising manager, Randa decides to take this time to enjoy life and do all those things she didn't do in her old life. Like getting a dog, and spending time with her young niece and nephew. Randa takes a job as an assistant to the new director of marketing. She's ready for the challenge of an easier lifestyle. Falling in love with her sexy new boss was so not on her agenda.

Justin Brewster relocates to Fort Worth, Texas hoping to exercise the demons of a failed 15-year marriage by taking an executive position at Sloane, Hart, and Lagrone. His plan is working until he meets his new assistant, who seems more capable of doing his job than he is. Still he can't deny her beauty, and sex appeal. Every time she looks at him with those hazel eyes, all the blood rushes from his brain, heading south. Justin can't seem to keep all his lusty thoughts at bay.

While working late, Randa's safety is threatened. Justin comes to her rescue and ends up taking her home. Passion soon takes over rational thought and they make love. Justin is overwhelmed and frightened of his feelings for his assistant. Not sure if Randa shared his feelings, Justin erects a wall between them. Randa has been in marketing long enough to recognize Justin's behavior for what it was. Now, Randa begins to shine at her new job and is soon promoted to tech manager. Now Randa's too busy to deal with Justin and his wall, and it drives Justin to distraction. No matter he does, he can't deny his feelings for her. What can he do to prove his love for her? Justin has to come up with a campaign for love that will knock Randa off her stilettos.
