![]() | Familiar Fire (1997) (The ninth book in the Fear Familiar series) A novel by Caroline Burnes |
After you get past the totally impossible premise of a currently early thiry something female having a grandmother who was a madam in the Colorado silver mining days, the story is pretty good. The supporting characters are humorously drawn. The added guest animal detective adds comic relief. The story has a slow choppy start but picks up the pace to a very unexpected conclusion.
