The police were scanning the woods where her car had been found; something Courtney hadn’t thought about. Courtney knew that she had to do some investigating on her own, so she took out her binoculars and looked around. That’s when Courtney notices the room above the third floor; it’s the attic, and she sees a shadowy figure passing by the window.
