(The seventh book in the Gil Yates Private Investigator series)
(2003)
A novel by

Alistair Boyle

Contingency, high-priced investigator Gil Yates is at it again: This time, an offensive movie mogul has hired him to track down his wife and daughter, lost in the mysterious Techsci cult "religion". It seems the leader of this "religion" is hiding out in a high-security compound from the IRS and FBI. Gil plunges into his case, encountering embittered ex-Techsci's and questionable followers. Infiltrating the compound, his life become more complicated as the wife and daughter won't leave. What's more, there are rumors that the successors of the "religion" are trying to kill off the declining Techsci leader. As Yates becomes more involved in the case, his own life is hanging in the balance, not to mention his elusive, exorbitant fee. Jailed and chained, he must play the enemy against each other to save his life, only to almost lose it. This seventh Gil Yates escapade has all the intrigue and humor his fans have come to expect.
