Alexander Beiner is a final year student at Trinity College, Dublin. He has studied shamanism and ethnopharmacology for several years and is interested in the spiritual use of plant hallucinogens. Beyond the Basin is his first novel. He also plays traditional Irish music and is interested in traditional forms of oral storytelling.
