Annie Gordon gatecrashes a designer sale in the hope of picking up a few bargains for her trip to Italy. A fire breaks out and in her panic to escape she snatches the wrong handbag. Her efforts to find the owner are thwarted and Annie leaves for Italy. She doesn't know that the handbag contains something the real owners will kill for.
