Taylor Anderson ignites his alternate history series with explosive naval action in Destroyermen: Fire on the Water!
Maelstrom: Having sided with the peaceful Lemurians against the savage Grik, Lt. Cmdr. Matthew Reddy and the crew of the WWII battleship Walker scramble to prepare for the attack that's sure to come. Meanwhile, the Japanese juggernaut Amagi, under Grik control, are amassing a force no amount of fire-power and technology will be able to stop. The Walker and its allies face annihilation--but hope may be just over the horizon....
Distant Thunders: The Walker is undergoing repairs after the Grik's shattering attack, when Reddy is shocked by the arrival of a strange ship. Captained by one Commodore Jenks of the New Britain Imperial Navy, it is crewed by the descendants of British East Indiamen who were swept through the rift centuries before.
Reddy will need all the help he can get to fend off the next Grik attack. But Jenks' uncertain loyalties make Reddy question whether he can trust the man. As tensions mount between the Allies and Imperials, Reddy realizes his suspicions may not be unfounded--and that a greater danger than the Grik is closer than he suspected.
Genre: Science Fiction
