Steven Axelrod

Steven Axelrod was born in New York City and raised in Manhattan and Beverly Hills. He grew up in the movie business watching his father, screenwriter and playwright George Axelrod, work on films like "The Manchurian Candidate' and "Breakfast at Tiffany's". After a wasted youth pitching and rewriting screenplays, Mr. Axelrod remains member of the WGAw, and holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College.

Poisoned Pen Press will be kicking off his Henry Kennis Nantucket mystery series.

A father of two, he lives on Nantucket Island where he writes novels and paints houses, often at the same time, much to the annoyance of his customers.
