Trust Me

(1992)
A novel by

When accountant Chloe Verona and children's book author Will Turner were set up on a blind date, Chloe's friend assured her she'd love Will and Will's friend assured him he'd get laid. They wound up at a headache-inducing opera, walked out at the first intermission and both agreed their blind date was a bad idea. Will drove Chloe home to her Back Bay Boston apartment, where they said good-bye and resolved never to see each other again.

But then Chloe discovered that her most treasured possession had been stolen while she'd been at the opera with Will. In fact, her flaky, selfish brother had filched it and fled to his home in Minnesota. Chloe is determined to get it back. Only problem: her car is in the shop. Only other problem: she's deathly afraid of flying.

Will's dilapidated old van works. And even if he and Chloe aren't suited, she's got the sexiest legs he's ever seen. What the hell - he'll drive her to Minnesota. A lot can happen on a fifteen-hundred-mile drive.
