John Altman is an American thriller writer. He is also a musician and a Harvard graduate. In 2000 his debut novel A Gathering of Spies was published. His most recent novel was The Watchmen, published in 2004.

His books have been published in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Poland, and the Netherlands. He lives in New York City.
