When Brigid saves Gwen from drowing she demands a favour in return. Gwen must take her in her riverboat, Brigantia, to Lydney Sands. Their journey helps Gwen and Brigid come to terms with their previous lives and to heal the hurt that has existed between them, unrecognised, for hundreds of years.
