About David Ashton
David Ashton is a Scottish character actor who played Dr McDuff in the Granada Television Series Brass and Major Roddy Maclean in the Scottish television series Hamish Macbeth in the 1990s. He is the creator of the BBC Radio 4 drama series "McLevy", and author of fictional books continuing the stories.
