Lyda Marling is thrilled when Lilli, her older sister and only living relative, gets married. The wealthy Jason Ducat, Lilli's new husband, has children from a previous marriage, and Lyda hopes to find a place in their family. She's so happy to become part of their lives that she manages to overlook the many strange -- and not quite right -- aspects of life in the Ducat household.
