Reece, hero of "The Dark Shore" and "The Shadow Eater", and his lover Jyoti, are living in New Arwar, when a new outbreak of the Goblins Wars inflicts carnage on the land and threatens their very lives. Meanwhile, Dogbrick, Reece's trusted friend, remains lost on the Dark Shore.
